The Central Ohio Rainforest Action Network just had its first annual Green Carpet Affair; a social and educational forum providing more practical environmental awareness to help

The event took place at Baila World Dance Institute, 208 S. Wall Street on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.
Dr. John Wenzel, Director of The Museum of Biological Diversity at The Ohio State University and Glen Kiser, president of The Foundation for Environmental Education started off the evening with riveting information about the natural world around us and some ideas about how you can make positive changes where you live. Following the speakers, the 150 or so guests were treated to drinks & appetizers while bidding on silent auction items. The evening concluded with musical energy, provided by 99 Heartaches, local band who shares an environmental commitment. All funds raised from the Green Carpet Affair went towards local environmental education, sponsored by Central Ohio RAN, RAN’s Protect-an-Acre fund (awards grants to indigenous peoples to protect the world’s forests and the rights of their inhabitants) and support of national RAN campaigns.
